Mindaugo karūnavimo dienos proga tautišką giesmę aidas atkartojo Kolorado kalnų viršūnėse

Kasmet vasarai artėjant prie pusiaukelės,  lietuvių laukia viena svarbiausių valstybinių švenčių - liepos 6-ą dieną minima Mindaugo Karūnavimo diena. Kolorado tautiečiai taip pat šia proga susibūrė Regina Caeli Ermitaže, prisiminti ir prasmingai paminėti šį istorinį įvykį.

Saulėtą sekmadienio rytą Kolorado lietuviai pradėjo Šv. Mišiomis, kurias aukojo brolis Pranciškus. Mišios vyko nuostabioje kolplytėlėje po atviru dangumi. Svarbūs ir prasmingi brolio Pranciškaus žodžiai maišėsi kartu su paukščių čiulbesiu. Tokia nepakartojama atmosfera apgaubė kiekvieną dalyvį ramybės bei vienybės skraiste. 

Pasibaigus šv.Mišioms, atėjo laikas iškelti istorinę LDK vėliavą prie lietuviško kryžiaus. Raudoname fone jojantis Vytis plevesavo kalnų vėjyje skambant Maironio eilėms “Graži tu, mano brangi tėvyne”. Klausant šių žodžių, apdainuojant Lietuvą, nostalgija ir meilė virpino susirinkusiųjų širdis. 

Šiais metais Mindaugo Karūnavimo dieną Kolorado lietuviai minėjo žygiuodami į kalną Lietuvos istorijos apmąstymų keliu. Kopiant aukštyn ir drauge nešant trispalvę, bendruomenės nariai sustojo septyniose stotelėse, kuriose prisiminė svarbiausias Lietuvos istorijos akimirkas, bei ją gynusius didvyrius. 

Istorinius apmąstymus išmintingais žodžiais pradėjo Brolis Pranciškus. Jis trumpai aptarė gilią praeitį ir tai, jog baltai jau amžius gyveno LDK žemėse. Pirmoji stotelė buvo skirta  Mindaugui ir ypatingai jo sprendimo apsikrikštyti svarbai. 

Einant tolyn bendruomenės narė Kristina Vyšniauskienė pasakojo apie Gedimino laikus, prisiminė Vilniaus įkūrimo legendą bei tai, jog šiemet Vilnius švenčia 700-ąjį jubiliejų. Trečioje stotelėje buvo kalbama apie Vytautą, jo nenustelbtus pasiekimus, tuometinę LDK didybę bei griausmingą Žalgirio mūšio pergalę.

Žygiuojant toliau dalyvavusieji prisiminė šimtmečius mūsų šaliai skausmingų patirčių. Ketvirtoje stotelėje Donatas Juodzevičius kalbėjo apie ATR, bei išorinius ir vidinius veiksnius lėmusius šį sprendimą. Penktojoje stotelėje Vaida Juodzevičienė dalinosi skaitiniu apie tai, kaip lietuvių tauta kentėjo, bet išliko carinės Rusijos priespaudoje. 

Šeštajame sustojime Snieguolė Radzevičienė visus nustebino giliu pasakojimu apie 1918 m. Lietuvos nepriklausomybės paskelbimą, kovą už šią laisvę. Ji priminė, jog tam, kad atkurtų nepriklausomybę, tarybos nariai privalėjo nuspręsti kokią lietuvą atkurti, kur bus jos ribos ir kas bus jos piliečiai. 

Užkopus į kalno viršūnę prie aukuro ir kryžiaus, Brolis Pranciškus aptarė komunistinės Sovietų Sąjungos ultimatumą lietuvai bei sekusią priespaudą. Jis prisiminė drąsius partizanus dešimtmečius vedusius pasipriešinimą bei 1990-ųjų metų Lietuvos nepriklausomybės susigrąžinimą. 

Pasibaigus istoriniams apmąstymams tautiečiai susivienijo giedodami tautinę giesmę. Lietuvos himno žodžiai aidėjo kalnų viršūnėse.

Galiausiai, sugrįžus į Ermitažą, dieną bendruomenė karūnavo gardžiais pietumis, smagiais pašnekesiais ir džiugesiu, kad net ir už kalnų bei marių - esame lietuviai ir esame vieningi.

The national anthem of Lithuania echoed in the mountains of Colorado

Every year, as the summer approaches the halfway point, one of the most important public holidays awaits Lithuanians - the Coronation Day of Mindaugas is celebrated on July 6. Colorado citizens also gathered at the Regina Caeli Hermitage on this occasion to remember and meaningfully commemorate this historic event.

On a sunny Sunday morning, Colorado Lithuanians started St. At the mass offered by brother Francis. Mass was held in a beautiful chapel under the open sky. The important and meaningful words of Brother Francis mingled with the chirping of birds. Such a unique atmosphere enveloped each participant in a blanket of peace and unity.

After the end of the Holy Mass, it was time to raise the historical LDK flag next to the Lithuanian cross. Vytis, riding on a red background, fluttered in the mountain wind as Maironis' lines "You are beautiful, my dear homeland" sounded. Listening to these words, singing Lithuania, nostalgia and love fluttered the hearts of those present.

This year, the Lithuanians of Colorado celebrated the Coronation Day of Mindaugas by hiking up the mountain along the path of reflection on the history of Lithuania. While climbing up and carrying the tricolor together, members of the community stopped at seven stops where they remembered the most important moments of Lithuanian history and the heroes who defended it.

Brother Pranciskus started the historical reflections with wise words. He briefly discussed the deep past and the fact that whites have lived in the lands of the LDK for centuries. The first stop was dedicated to Mindaugas and the special importance of his decision to be baptized.

While walking away, community member Kristina Vyšniauskienė told about the times of Gediminas, remembered the legend of the founding of Vilnius and the fact that Vilnius is celebrating its 700th anniversary this year. The third stop was about Vytautas, his outstanding achievements, the greatness of the LDK at that time and the thunderous victory of the Battle of Žalgiris.

During the march, the participants remembered centuries of painful experiences for our country. At the fourth stop, Donatas Juodzevičius spoke about ATR and the external and internal factors that led to this decision. At the fifth stop, Vaida Juodzevičienė shared a reading about how the Lithuanian nation suffered but survived under the oppression of Tsarist Russia.

At the sixth stop, Snieguolė Radzevičienė surprised everyone with a deep story about 1918. The declaration of Lithuania's independence, the fight for this freedom. She reminded that in order to restore independence, the council members had to decide what kind of Lithuania to restore, where its borders would be and who its citizens would be.

After climbing to the top of the mountain near the altar and the cross, Brother Pranciskus discussed the ultimatum of the communist Soviet Union to Lithuania and the oppression that followed. He remembered the brave partisans who led the resistance for decades and the restoration of Lithuania's independence in the 1990s.

At the end of the historical reflections, the compatriots united by singing the national anthem. The words of the Lithuanian national anthem echoed on the mountain tops.

Finally, after returning to the Hermitage, the community crowned the day with a delicious lunch, fun conversations and joy that even beyond the mountains and lakes - we are Lithuanians and we are united.
